Cheap Registras The Burlington County Board of Freeholders yesterday took a first step toward converting an abandoned 13-mile railroad right of way into a walking and biking trail that would link Mansfield with Pemberton Township.

The freeholders are coordinating the trail project in the county and have incorporated it into their plan for the county parks system. The idea for the trail was conceived in 1996. The project is in the middle of a planning and design phase. The trail will traverse 25 miles in each state. In Burlington County, it will go through parts of Beverly, Bordentown City, Bordentown Township, Burlington City, Burlington Township, Cinnaminson, Delanco, Delran, Edgewater Park, Fieldsboro, Florence, Mansfield, Palmyra, Riverside and Riverton.

Name Com Pemberton Township's existing trail along the old railway runs from the restored rail station to the Birmingham section of the township. County officials ultimately would like to link that trail with county-administered Smithville Park in Eastampton.
