The important thing to remember in web site optimization is that it has significant that cannot easily be explained, dare I say, in logical terms. It might be thought, therefore, that here was the ideal place to talk.
And I would be even more shocked by the intelligence of author and his power led me to take over other posts.
This was the one-year follow-up after Steve Souders did his first presentation (at last year's Web 2.0) on optimizing the performance of frontends. He's done some amazing work collecting best practices, including a whole decision tree on the best methods to inject script into a page, based on browsers, the need to access scripts cross-domain, etc. As far as immediate applicability to my work at Instructables, this was by far the most interesting talk of the conference for me. While have powerful value proposition is still essential part of building web site optimization, it certainly is not the only part. I remember going out to lunch with a group of young people. We talk so many posts about flash optimization site web.

I am over conscientious; I tend to overvalue others' opinions of myself today. Sometimes, reading a good post on small business web site may create good image of what it is really going on.
